"After deadly floods in Jammu & Kashmir that killed 41 people, the IMD downgraded its red alert to yellow, predicting improvement from Aug 29. The Jhelum river, which rose above the danger mark overnight, has started receding, while flash floods in Tawi and Doda damaged homes, roads and shops.
As heavy rainfall continues to batter Jammu and Kashmir, all educational institutions across the Union Territory will remain closed on Thursday.
