Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday inaugurated the India Mobile Congress 2025 at Yashobhoomi, Delhi, highlighting the country’s rapid progress in the telecom sector.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 9th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025 on Wednesday, October 8, at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi, his office said.
This is the first time that the ITU-WTSA will be hosted in India and the Asia-Pacific.
The PM also highlighted the recent announcement by the US tech giant Google to manufacture its flagship Pixel phones in India.
"Talking about Digital India, some people think that this is just a government scheme. But Digital India is not just a name, it is a big vision for the country's development," said PM Modi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inspected the exhibition at Pragati Maidan. The 5G telecom services seek to provide seamless coverage, high data rate, low latency and highly reliable communications system.
The minister said the country is at the cusp of a digital revolution, with disruptions happening in each and every sector and industry.
