Responding to the AAP leader's statement, Sachdeva said that for ten years, neither the Arvind Kejriwal-led government nor Atishi made any attempt to seek judicial relief from the NGT’s 2015 ban.
In light of the technological challenges faced by the Delhi Government, particularly in the rollout of the Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system, CAQM amended Direction No. 89, which mandates fuel stations to deny fuel to ELVs.
“We cannot permit fueling of ELVs at this stage,” Sirsa told reporters, adding, “But we are hopeful that tomorrow’s meeting will bring constructive decisions that serve the interests of Delhi residents.”
Flagged vehicles were seized on the spot, with violations registered against their owners.
