Union Minister for Commerce Piyush Goyal, External Affairs Minister (EAM) and the Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) will be the co-chairs of the meeting on the Indian side.
The India-Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement, which would give a big boost to especially textiles, gems, jewellery, and pharmaceuticals sectors, is expected to create new 10 lakh jobs, said Union commerce minister Piyush Goyal.
According to Australian law, the India-Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (AI-ECTA) needs ratification by that country's parliament before its implementation.
The Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the United Kingdom (UK) and India is expected to be closed by March 2023, a source from the commerce ministry said on Tuesday.
