The court also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on the convict and directed that the fine amount be handed over to her husband.
Dr Umar Nabi, an assistant professor at Al-Falah University and suspected to have been driving the car that burst into flames on Monday, had parked the vehicle at the Sunehri Masjid parking lot around 3:19 pm, the officer said.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Police have traced the registration of the exploded car to Faridabad in Haryana, intensifying the manhunt. The blast has so far claimed ten lives and left 24 others injured.
The explosion, which occurred on Monday evening, also injured 24 people. Police, who are probing a possible terror angle, have identified the vehicle involved as a Hyundai i20 bearing a Haryana registration number.
The blast, believed to be caused by a car explosion, has claimed several lives, with reports indicating that at least ten people have been killed and many others injured. Several vehicles were also damaged in the explosion.
