During the secretary-level bilateral meeting held on 25 February, the two sides reviewed the existing mechanisms of bilateral cooperation between India and Bhutan in flood management and flood forecasting.
The state government has formed a monitoring group comprising IAS officers at the rank of special secretaries for flood monitoring and management.
This feature is again adversely affected by tidal conditions as is generally noticed in the month of September, the likely month of occurrence of flood.
