Govt abolished 20% export duty on onions: Shivraj Chouhan

Union Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday said the Modi government is farmer-friendly which is giving remunerative prices to farmers, thus ensuring that fair prices is its priority and commitment.

Government withdraws export duty on steel

The Centre has restored the status quo as was prevailing prior to May 22 and withdrawn the export duty on iron ore lumps and fines below 58 Fe content, iron ore pellets, and the specified steel products, including pig iron.

Govt raises petroleum export cess

The Central government has raised excise duty on export by Rs 6 per liter on Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF), Rs 6 per liter on petrol and Rs 13 per liter on diesel. Apart from that Rs. 23,250 per tonne of cess will be charged on crude export. There is no change or addition of cess in the import of crude oil.
