The Opposition Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on former party leader Debashish Samantaray following his switch to the BJP, accusing him of quitting the regional outfit for personal and business interests.
Insiders have said that he was expected to be sent to the Upper House of Parliament by the BJP.
Therefore, the election of Mohammed Moquim from Cuttack-Barabati Assembly constituency is to be declared null and void as misinformed voters could not make an informed choice according to their free will and conscience and the same violates the fundamental rights of voters to know, Justice Sahoo stressed in the order.
