Addressing the gathering on the opening day of Chanakya Defence Dialogue (CDD) 2025, General Dwivedi said that the world is transitioning through a turbulent phase where major powers are “continuously jostling and competing.”
During the ‘Fireside Chat’, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Upendra Dwivedi, highlighted the linkage between national development and national security, noting that the aspirations of Viksit Bharat @2047 require sustained stability and a secure environment.
The two-day seminar aims to foster synergy between the Indian Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces, civil administration, academia, and industry towards developing a unified national security framework.
Addressing the Forum, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju underscored the pivotal role of India’s youth and the Armed Forces in realising the Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
