The General Secretary of the WDCC Shankar Kundu has sent a letter to Miss Chaudhuri, requesting her to see to it that funds are allotted in the forthcoming union budget for the construction of the two projects.
It may be recalled here that a group of BJP supporters last night vandalised a party office and set it on fire at Buniadpur in protest against the party's move to nominate Nilanjan Roy as the election candidate there.
Police arrested three persons from the hotel in connection with the incident.
