The state on Saturday banned syrups containing dextromethorphan and a combination of chlorpheniramine maleate and phenylephrine hydrochloride for children under four years, following guidelines issued by the centres.
The police have recovered from their possession 6 kg of the hypnotic drug methaqualone and 2 kg of heroin worth more than Rs 40 crore in the international market.
Each of these sheets contained four plastic packets containing a white powdery substance. A total of eight plastic packets were found.
