Over-aged officials running sports bodies in J&K; HC seeks replies

Raising serious concerns over the continued stranglehold of over-aged, ineligible and politically-connected office bearers on sports bodies in Jammu and Kashmir, the High Court of J&K and Ladakh on Wednesday expressed deep anguish over the "casual and non-serious" approach of the government and sports associations in implementing the National Sports Code.

Senior badminton nationals set to begin Wednesday

The championships will kick off with the inter-zonal team events with the individual competition beginning from December 20 with defending men's singles champion Chirag Sen and women's singles winner Anmol Kharb looking to retain their respective crowns despite an extremely competitive field.
