The man, identified as Abu Ahad Sheikh, a resident of the Shopian district in Jammu and Kashmir, was stopped by security guards when he spread a cloth near the Sita Rasoi area, around 200 metres from the main temple, reportedly to offer prayers.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat are expected to participate in the flag hoisting ceremony.
The incident reportedly took place around 11 PM at the Imli Bagh area within the Hanuman Garhi premises.
The Railway Station reflects the temple architecture of the upcoming Shri Ram Mandir of Ayodhya.
