Hidden forest

The global carbon cycle comprises the most important set of climate feedbacks. In particular, the two main reservoirs of carbon in the climate system are the oceans and the terrestrial biosphere. These reservoirs have historically taken up large amounts of anthropogenic CO2 emissions
