With the Supreme Court yet to pronounce its verdict on the revocation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference leader and former chief minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday vowed to continue with the political pushback to the move regardless of legal interventions and decisions.
“35A ke saath chhedd chhadd karna baarood ko haath lagaane ke baraabar hoga. Jo haath 35A ke saath chhedd chaadd karne ke liye uthenge wo haath hi nahi wo saara jism jal ke raakh ho jaega (To play around with 35 A is like playing with fire. Whoever tries to touch 35 A would be annihilated),” said Mufti while addressing the party workers.
Mehbooba cautioned the people about "sinister motives" of the BJP to fragment people on the basis of sects, communities and regions.
PDP said that Arun Jaitley should know more than anybody else about the laws of the state and that Article 35-A is not in any way a hurdle in investment.
The Supreme Court on Monday adjourned the hearing on a batch of pleas challenging the constitutional validity of Article 35-A on the ground that one of the judges in the three-judge bench was not present and that the matter needs to be heard by a larger bench.
