The company informed stock exchanges that its revenue jumped by 19% to Rs 45,899 crore in Q3FY26, as compared to Rs 16,742 crore in Q3FY25, due to higher LME volumes, premium and forex gains, as compared to its revenue of Rs 38,526 crore in the December 2024 quarter.
Any power outage in aluminium plants will lead to catastrophic impact and complete shutdown which will take minimum 12 months of recovery, resulting in job loss of more than 8 lakh people, banks will have debt exposure of over Rs.1 lakh crore and additional National forex loss of Rs. 90,000 crores, said the AAI.
The association said the aluminium industry is highly power-intensive and the current crisis is because Coal India has significantly reduced supplies.
