During the valedictory ceremony, themes such as strengthening democracy, the primacy of public interest, and the transformed administrative identity of Uttar Pradesh emerged prominently.
He stated that the need of the hour is to strengthen the culture of discussion and dialogue, not disruption.
Recalling the major deliberations of previous AIPOCs, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla emphasised the need for healthy competition among state legislatures on parameters such as excellence, innovation, and the use of technology.
At the inaugural session of the 86th All India Presiding Officers' Conference (AIPOC) here, Mr Birla said the legislature is a powerful and effective platform for resolving the problems of the people and fulfilling their aspirations.
UP Governor Anandiben Patel will inaugurate the conference with her address. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will also address the inaugural session.
UP Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana made this announcement while addressing reporters here on Monday. He said that Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will also be present at the All India Presiding Officers' Conference.
The assembly speakers and legislative council Chairmen from all over the country will participate in the conference.
