High-drama was witnessed at the Marine Drive police station here on Wednesday after the late Ajit Pawar's nephew and Sharad Pawar-led NCP MLA Rohit Pawar, MLA Amol Mitkari, MLC Idris Naikwadi, and MLA Sandeep Kshirsagar requested police officials on duty to register a first information report (FIR) against the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
Ajit Pawar-led NCP MLA Amol Mitkari and senior Sharad Pawar-led NCP MLA Jitendra Awhad raised questions on Monday over the January 28 air crash that killed the late Deputy CM Ajit Pawar.
Rohit Pawar alleged that the civil aviation minister is “close” to the owners of the Delhi-based air charter company VSR on whose aircraft the late Maharashtra deputy CM flew on the fateful day.
Raising serious concerns about the investigation so far, Rohit Pawar asked, “Where is the CCTV footage of the hangar? No investigation has been done so far. All these things can be manipulated if this is not done properly”.
