Radical elements are preparing artificial Intelligence generated videos and circulating them, to radicalise the youth and then instigate them to carry out attacks in India.
Pradhan said that AI could prove to be a dangerous technology, potentially subject to misuse. Sharing his experience, he said that some people from an agency came to him and claimed that they could deliver his speech to the public by imitating his voice and face without his presence.
The government has set a three-hour deadline for social media platforms to take down AI-generated or deepfake content once it is flagged by the government or ordered by a court.
