Hailing the 57th Edition of The Statesman Vintage & Classic Car Rally, Israeli ambassador to India Naor Gilon on Sunday said the classic cars are his passion.

Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri on Sunday fagged off the much-awaited 57th Edition of The Statesman Vintage & Classic Car Rally in the national capital.

The Rally was flagged off from The Statesman House at Barakhamba Road in Delhi at a glittering ceremony, in the presence of Chairman of The Statesman Group, Mr R P Gupta, Gilon, British Deputy High Commissioner to India Christina Scott, Director (Planning and Business Development/HR) of Indian Oil Sujoy Choudhury and CMD of NBCC KP Mahadevaswamy.
In a post on X, the Israeli ambassador to India while sharing some photos of the Rally, said, “Being part of The Statesman Ltd 57th Vintage and Classic Cars Rally Flag Off is a true pleasure. Cars in general but more so classic ones, are a passion of mine.”

In one of the photos, Gilon can be seen taking a selfie with a blue Rolls Royce.

Last year also, the ambassador had attended the Rally. He was a special invitee at the 56th Edition of The Statesman Vintage & Classic Car Rally.

The Israeli envoy then had also said he has a passion for vintage and classic cars. He had informed that in India, this was his first Vintage and Classic Car Rally.

The Statesman Vintage & Classic Car Rally is an annual event that takes place in Delhi and Kolkata. It’s one of the oldest continuously run events in India and the sub-continent.
