Wriddhiman Saha, who made a comeback to international cricket in the just-concluded Test series against South Africa after a gap of around two years, celebrated his 35th birthday on Thursday. On the auspicious day, not just teammates, but also his fans flooded Twitter with birthday wishes.

“Many many happy returns of the day 2 our Superman behind d stumps @Wriddhipops. Keep up d gud work. Have a great year ahead wit loads of success nd happiness. May God bless u always,” Saha’s Bengal Ranji teammate Manoj Tiwary wrote on Twitter.

“Happy Birthday, @Wriddhipops May you catch lots of wickets and even more luck & happiness throughout the year. Have a great day,” India opener Mayank Agarwal also wished his India teammate.

The BCCI also shared a picture of the stumper and said: “Happy Birthday @Wriddhipops – Keep Stretching – Keep Catching #TeamIndia.”

Teammate R Ashwin took to Twitter to write: “Many more happy returns of the day popsy. @Wriddhipops.”

Meanwhile, sports journalist Debayan, who has followed Saha since his early days, also wished the Kolkata stumper and tweeted: “Happy birthday @Wriddhipops ! Simply the best behind the stumps, but more importantly, having seen him from close quarters, a down to earth and simple human being. Goes about his job quietly and keeps to himself. No showboating. Fan. Proud.”

Another fan tweeted: “Happy birthday Saha g..Keep rocking.”
