Amid the widespread rumours about Wayne Rooney’s possible transfer to the Derby County, Rooney was spotted at the Heathrow Airport in London.
The 33-year-old was spotted at the Airport on Tuesday amidst widespread speculations that he will make the move to Derby County from Major League Soccer (MLS) team DC United.
Rumours also claim that the English professional footballer has, in fact, agreed to a player-cum-coach role under the guidance of Phillip Cocu at Derby. This means that his time in the United States will come to an end.

There are some media reports too which confirm that Rooney is making a comeback to English football circuit especially since Derby opened their Championship campaign with a win.
Notably, Rooney is England’s most capped outfield player and it was reported that he would be in London to complete the deal. Now, with him being spotted at the airport, taking photos with fans, the speculations and reports might turn out to be true.
Rooney has also taken coaching courses parallel to being a professional player and may at some point in a future venture into management.
And if reports, rumours and speculations turn out to be true, he may well have to don both the hats at the Pride Park.
