Liverpool may have had to break the bank to sign Alisson from AS Roma, but after one training session, it looks like the Reds were wise to spend £66 million on the Brazilian custodian.

The Brazilian reached England and linked up with his teammates for the first time earlier this week and on Tuesday, took part in his maiden training with the club.

At the club’s pre-season base in Evian, France, Alisson showed Loris Karius and the other Liverpool keepers who’s boss with a sensational point-blank save to deny Marko Grujic.

Here’s the video of the stop, that is going viral:

It’s worth nothing that even Reds winger Mohamed Salah can’t quite believe what just happened and from the sounds of it, neither can most of the Liverpool squad.

Extremely early days, but it looks like Jurgen Klopp has finally ended the Merseyside outfit’s jinx with goalkeepers.

Reds fans will undoubtedly get on the Alisson hype train and they can see the shot-stopper in action when the club faces Serie A side Napoli on Saturday (2230 IST) at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.

Klopp’s men then play their final fixture of pre-season, a tie against Torino on August 7 at Anfield.

So far, it’s been a pretty good summer for the club, for not only have they nabbed their major targets, they’ve been impressive on the pitch as well.

The Reds managed to beat both the Manchester Clubs stateside, with the 4-1 defeat of United in particular sending a strong message to the rest of their rivals.

They open their 2018/19 Premier League campaign with a home clash against West Ham United on August 12.
