When little Hudson McCarthy sent his beloved Chelsea a video message requesting the players to come visit him for a barbecue in his Perth backwyard a few weeks ago, little did the four-year-old know his wish would be fulfilled and then some.

For on Sunday, David Luiz, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Ethan Ampadu came over to the McCarthy’s abode to make it an unforgettable evening for the young Blues fan and his family.

Maurizio Sarri’s men are in the city of Perth as they take on Perth Gloy FC on Monday evening (1700 IST) for the first pre-season tie of the summer.

So after their training session on Sunday, the three Chelsea stars all dropped in and not only did they fulfil Hudson’s request, they literally made him an offer he couldn’t refuse.

Luiz, a popular figure among the Chelsea fanbase, offered the four-year-old the chance to lead the players out as a mascot when the Blues take on Perth Glory.

The players even had a kickabout in the McCarthy’s backyard with the affable Brazilian declaring he would score a goal for Hudson on Monday.

However, there is cause for concern as the futures of Willian, Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois, to name a few, are all in major doubt.
