Liverpool star player Mohamed Salah met a young fan of Liverpool and him who had injured himself while trying to meet his favourite players outside of the ground where Liverpool were training on Saturday.

According to a report carried by Liverpool’s daily newspaper, Liverpool Echo, Louis Fowler and his brother Issac were waiting outside the stadium where Liverpool were supposed to train. They were desperate to meet their favourite players and hoping they would get to greet and meet them. Exactly then, Mohamed Salah’s car was spotted there and 11-year-old Louis ran behind him to try and catch a glimpse of him.

However, amidst all the excitement, Louis ran straight into a lamp post. He fell unconscious on the ground.

The report then adds that Salah immediately stopped to make sure Louis and his brother were okay. He also drove to his place later to check whether he was doing fine and posed with the brothers for pictures. The pictures were shared on social media by Joe Cooper, their stepfather.

“We live just opposite Melwood and the two boys have been spending their holidays trying to get pictures of their heroes,” Cooper said in an interview with the Liverpool Echo.

“Salah was one of the last ones to come out and the boys were waving at him in a bid to catch his attention. Unfortunately, Louis went straight into a lamp-post while running after the car and busted his nose when he hit the floor.”

The brothers had to be brought home by neighbours. However, much to the surprise of everyone, Salah joined them soon after.

“We were still trying to work out what had happened when Mo arrived,” Cooper said.

“He’d seen one of the boys had hurt himself and he had the decency to drive back into the close to check that he was OK.

“No-one could believe it. Everyone was gobsmacked. He asked if the boys were all right and gave them a big hug which was what they both needed. They were made up and Louis forgot all about being injured,” he added.

“He [Salah] was really apologetic and saying sorry for something that wasn’t his fault. I’d just like to say a big thank you to him. He’s a top bloke. Salah is their hero and the boys were made up,” he concluded.
