English legend Wayne Rooney and former Portuguese skipper Luis Figo have picked Thiago Silva led Brazil and Lionel Messi’s Argentina as their final two favourites for the last 4 round of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Brazil’s campaign has gotten off to a strong start with victories against Serbia (2-0) and Switzerland thus far in group play (1-0). However, they are missing the service of their ace striker, Neymar.
While Saudi Arabia defeated Argentina 1-2 in their opening group encounter, despite Lionel Messi scoring the opening goal in that match, Argentina had a disappointing start. They recovered, though, and defeated Mexico 2-0 in the subsequent match.

The two veterans talked about their predictions for the semi-finalists on the VISA Match Centre on Sports18 and JioCinema.
“My four semi-finalists are Brazil, Argentina, Belgium and England.” said Rooney, the former England international.
Meanwhile, 2001 Ballon d’Or winner, Luis Figo, chose Brazil, Spain, Argentina and Netherlands as his last four.
