Manchester City vs Huddersfield Town is the first Premier League fixture on Sunday and the lineups for the clash at the Emirates Stadium have been revealed.

City have opted to rest Kyle Walker, and are experimenting with a 3-5-2.

Vincent Kompany returns to the lineup and he features alongside Aymeric Laporte, John Stones

Benjamin Mendy, Bernardo Silva, Fernandinho and Ilkay Guendogan start in midfield while David Silva is back as well and will complete their formation along with strikers Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero.

The visitors are trotting out in a 5-4-1, with Ben Hamer retaining his place between the sticks.

Chris Lowe, Terence Kongolo, Christopher Schindler, Jon Stankovic and Tom Smith feature in the five-man defence.

Abdülhamid Sabiri, Philip Billing, Alex Pritchard and Florent Hadergjonaj line up in midfield behind Steve Mounie.

City, the defending champions, are heavy favourites to clinch three points on their home turf but will have to be wary of complacency.

How they cope without star man Kevin De Bruyne will be interesting to see and while the Terriers were poor travellers last season, David Wagner’s men did cause some big teams problems and will try

Manchester City: Ederson,  Stones, Kompany (C),  Laporte, Fernandinho, Bernardo, Guendogan, Silva, Mendy, Aguero and Jesus.

Huddersfield Town: Hamer, Lowe, Kongolo, Schindler, Stankovic, Smith (C), Sabri, Billing, Pritchard, Hadergjonaj and Mounie.
