In a recent turn of events, Brazilian forward Neymar Jr has not been included in Pari Saint-Germain’s (PSG) squad for their Ligue 1 match amid extensive reports of his departure from the club. The sporting director of PSG, Leonardo Araujo, revealed that that Neymar was not part of the squad.

“Talks are more advanced than before,” Leonardo said in an informal interaction with reporters. However, he did not elaborate about the negotiations and plans revolving around Neymar.

“We will see what happens. Everybody needs the future to be defined,” he added.

Neymar was recovering from an injury and thus won’t be able to feature for PSG in their Ligue 1 opening match as he will not be able to complete a minimum of one-week training necessary for selection, coach Thomas Tuchel had stated during a press conference.

Notably, Neymar was indeed hit twice which implied that he was not present for the training session, the coach had added in that press conference.

Despite giving his views on Neymar, the coach refused to comment or get involved in any kind of discussion regarding Neymar’s possible transfer. He stated that talking about Neymar’s present scenario, transfer reports and negotiations was not part of his job.

It is also to be noted that French daily newspaper Le Parisien had earlier reported that negotiations with Real Madrid would happen more quickly than its rival Barcelona. However, the coach refused to comment on that too.
