Navdeep Saini, who starred for India in his debut match on Saturday by winning the Man of the Match award, was found to have breached Article 2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel on Sunday during India’s 2nd T20 match against the West Indies.
Notably, Article 2.5 relates to using actions or gestures which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon their dismissal. Meanwhile, Saini has also been handed one demerit point.

The player admitted the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by match referee Jeff Crowe of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees and, as such, there was no need for a formal hearing.
On-field umpires Nigel Duguid and Gregory Braithwaite, third umpire Leslie Reifer and fourth official Patrick Gustard levelled the charges.
Talking about the match on Sunday, winning the toss and batting first India posted 167 for 5 in 20 overs, thanks to 67 from Rohit Sharma. In reply, West Indies laboured their way to 98 for 4 in 15.3 overs before rain forced play to be suspended and the Men in Blue were declared winner.
