Egypt head coach Javier Aguirre feels Mohamed Salah should leave Liverpool within one or two seasons if the Premier League giants do not start winning trophies soon.

Star Liverpool player was linked with La Liga giants Real Madrid after his record-breaking first season at The Reds, in which he scored 44 times in all competitions. However, Salah decided to stay at Liverpool and signed a new five-year contract in July.

Liverpool have won only one trophy since 2006. Jürgen Klopp’s side, however, managed to reach the finals of Champions League 2018 but was beaten by Real Madrid.

“It may be better for him to leave within a season or two if Liverpool doesn’t win any titles,” Javier Aguirre was quoted as saying according to ESPN FC.

Earlier, Salah has become the fastest to score fifty goals for the Reds in the history of Liverpool.

“I’m glad about that,” Salah told the BBC. “I’m always very happy and proud to break records, especially records at a club like Liverpool.”

Being the fastest player to score 50 goals for the club is something great. But I need to carry on and score more goals — I’m looking forward to 100,” Salah had said.
