Premier League giants Manchester United have been stuck with Paulo Dybala’s attempted transfer for a few days now. It appeared that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side had got what they wanted when Juventus had agreed to trade their forward Dybala for Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku.

However, additional reports have mentioned that Dybala is not open to moving to Manchester United. This has now led United to identify an alternative in case the swap deal concerning Dybala and Lukaku fails.

As per UK media outlet Express, Manchester United have identified their alternative in another Juventus player Mario Mandzukic. Reportedly, Mario is being linked with a move to Old Trafford in a contract worth £13 Million.

The report further states that Mandzukic will be used in a swap deal with Lukaku only if the Dybala deal does not work out. However, Juventus will also need to pay extra cash to meet United’s estimation of Lukaku.

In another set of reports, it was claimed that the Red Devils are in fact trying to get both Dybala and Mandzukic in their squad. In the same time, there are reports of Inter Milan interested in Dybala too.

Amidst widespread rumours and reports, Mario could turn out to be Manchester United’s saviour in case the deal with Dybala does not work out. If indeed they are successful in getting both Dybala and Mandzukic to Manchester, they would have perhaps hit the jackpot.
