Premier League giant team Manchester United were not happy with the way the transfer window was slammed shut for them. United had signed as many as three players by that time but their expected moves for players like Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic could not really materialise. Now a fresh set of reports carried by French website le10sport suggest that the Red Devils wanted to bring in Nicholas Pepe.

The reports suggest that the red devils had bid for Nicholas Pepe but wanted to confirm the transfer only if their striker Romelu Lukaku moved away. However, the deal concerning Lukaku could not happen before the transfer deadline day. And by the time, Pepe had already joined Arsenal.

Moreover, Atletico Madrid also wanted to bid for Pepe. However, they too had their own set of conditions which prevented them to make the bid early. On the other hand, Napoli had their bid accepted as well but Pepe chose Arsenal over Napoli.

The Red Devils reportedly also failed with moves concerning Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala as they did not reach an agreement on either of the two players. Bruno Fernandes was yet another player linked with Manchester United but the deal could not materialise.
