Philip Foden scored a double, while Marc Guehi, Morgan Gibbs White and Rhian Brewster contributed with a goal each as England defeated Spain 5-2 at the Salt Lake Stadium to win the FIFA U-17 World Cup on Saturday.

GOAL! England take a 3-2 lead through Foden’s remarkable goal in the 69th minute. The momentum is with England now. They’re showing their superiority over the counterparts Spain in every department.

GOAL! Morgan Gibbs White scores an equaliser for England. The scoreline reads 2-2 in the 58th minute. A complete teamwork earns England the equaliser. Foden to Odoi, Odoi pushes and Gibbs-white blasts the net.

GOAL! Rhian Brewster scores in the 44th minute to bring back hopes for England. Earlier in the semis, Brewster scored a hat-trick to propel the Three Lions to their first-ever FIFA U-17 World Cup final.

39′ Odoi unleashes a great cross and Foden tries to head it home from a lower height but it goes wide. So close. England are denied by the post.

GOAL! Sergio Gomez scores his second goal in the 31st minute to help Spain take a unaccessible 2-0 lead against England. Gomez finds the back of the net through a left-footed volley.

20′ Spain follows up a pacy game after an impressive goal by Gomez. Spanish forward Moukhliss leads a counter-attack but England goalkeeper Anderson throws himself to thwart it.

GOAL! Sergio Gomez strikes in the 10th minute as Spain take a 1-0 lead in the final. César Gelabert Pina assists and Gomez deflects the ball neatly into the net.

England start the final aggressively, seeking to score in the first minute. Alvaro Fernandez, the goalkeeper of Spain, pulls off a brilliant save.

The Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan stadium in Kolkata is all set to host the high-spark FIFA U-17 World Cup final match between England and Spain.

Riding on Rhian Brewster’s hat-trick against Brazil in the semi-final, England entered their first-ever U-17 World Cup final.

On the other hand, Spain beat minnows Mali 1-3 in the other semi-final clash.

In the third place play-off match, Brazil outclassed Mali 2-0 earlier in the day at the same venue.
