La Liga: Sevilla confirms Quique Sanchez Flores as first team coach until 2025
Sevilla Football Club on Monday named Quique Sanchez Flores as their new coach with a contract until the end of June 2025.
Atletico Madrid beat Getafe in their opening match of La Liga season 2019-20 at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano on Monday.
A superb goal from Alvaro Morata in 23rd minute gave Atletico the lead which proved to be the decider in the match. Morata, the Spanish striker who moved to Atletico Madrid on loan from Chelsea of the Premier League, netted the ball with a perfect header, owing to a corner pass.
Atletico dominated their opponent in almost all departments, be it the pass accuracy, ball possession or shots on target.

Meanwhile, in another match, Valladolid beat Real Betis 2-1 at the Benito Villamarín Stadium. In the 63rd minute, Sergio Guardiola Navarro initiated things for Valladolid. Then, Loren Moron played a leveller in the 68th minute. And eventually, Oscar Plano sealed the match for Valladolid in the 89th minute.
On Sunday, Osasuna, riding on a goal from Ezequiel Avila, beat Leganes 1-0. Meanwhile, Granada played a 4-4 draw with Villareal. Alaves beat Levante 1-0 and Sevilla beat Espanyol 2-0.
