Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan, who is currently out of action due to injury, wished his fans Happy Dussehra posting some inspiring words on social media.

“Kill the devil inside you and see the world change around you. Happy Dussehra,” Dhawan tweeted on Saturday.

The 31-year-old Delhi batsman played a pivotal role in India’s win in Sri Lanka. Dhawan scored three century knocks on the island and was bestowed with the Man of The Series in the Test series.

Another star cricketer who is missing national team tour –Ravichandran Ashwin— joined the celebration, wishing ‘God be with everyone.’

“Wish you all a Happy Dussera. I just landed for the fag end of the celebration and hence the delay in tweet. God be with everyone,” the off-spinner said on Twitter.

The ‘God of cricket’ Sachin Tendulkar was also soaked up in the festival colours as he wished his fans trough a video.

The video shared by the batting legend read the message: “Dusshera has signified the victory of evil. May all the evils in and around you fade away by the love and goodness in and around you; Wishing you a Happy Dusshera!”

Spinner Harbhajan also wished his fans Happy Dussehra, saying: “Time to celebrate the victory of good over evil. Wishing everyone a very #HappyDussehra!”

Cricketer-turned commentator VVS Laxman expressed his wish to see everyone happy in the year ahead. “May this dussehra light up for you the hopes of happy times and dreams for a year full of smiles. Wish you a Happy Dussehra!!”

India’s vice-captain Rohit Sharma, who is facing Australia with a broad smile these days, wished ‘smiles’ for his fans as well.

“May this #Dussehra brighten up our lives with happy times and a year full of smiles. Best wishes,” Rohit tweeted.
