New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult will don the Mumbai Indians’ jersey in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season after being traded by Delhi Capitals, whereas Indian fast bowler Ankit Rajpoot will represent Rajasthan Royals after a successful trade by Kings XI Punjab.

Left-arm bowler Boult made his IPL debut in 2014 and played for Delhi Capitals in the 2018 and 2019 season. He has 38 IPL wickets from 33 games at an economy of 8.78.

Capitals bought Boult for a sum of Rs 2.20 Crores ahead of IPL 2018. The pace spearhead was on the money in the season, picking 18 wickets from 14 games. But the speedster failed to impress in the following edition (IPL 2019) with only five wickets in five games at an average of 32.60.

Meanwhile, right-arm pacer, Rajpoot, who joined KXIP in 2018, has played 23 IPL matches and has 22 wickets against his name. Rajpoot put in one of the most memorable bowling performances ever when he claimed 5 for 14 in a league game in the 2018 season against Sunrisers Hyderabad. It is to note that Rajpoot is the only uncapped player to have a five-wicket haul in the IPL.

Earlier this month, Capitals signed R Ashwin and traded J Suchith to KXIP.
