The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season is set to begin on March 28, 2026, with defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) taking on Sunrisers Hyderabad in the opening match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The tournament will run until May 31, 2026, when the final is expected to be played in Bengaluru.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has currently announced the first phase of the schedule (March 28 – April 12), with the remaining fixtures expected to be released later due to state assembly elections in parts of India.

The 19th edition of the tournament will feature 10 teams competing across multiple venues in India, with the competition following a double round-robin format followed by playoffs.
