Kings XI Punjab co-owner Preity Zinta accepted on Monday that the video that went viral a day before, in which she can be seen celebrating Mumbai Indians’ failure to reach the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 playoffs, is not fake.

On Monday, during a chat session with her fans, a Twitter user named @RealSheetal asked Preity Zinta: “Mam @realpreityzinta did you really said “I am just very happy that Mumbai is not going to the finals? 😂 #CSKvKXIP.”

Responding to the question, the 43-year-old actress-turned-businesswoman wrote: “Relax ! Only if Mumbai was “Knocked Out” Punjab would have had a chance of getting to the play-offs but RR was happier we were Knocked out by CSK cuz they got to go to the play-offs ! When you leave it till the end one has to not just see your wins but other teams losses as well.”

On Sunday night, a video went viral on the internet in which Preity Zinta was seen telling a KXIP member how happy she was that three-time champions Mumbai Indian got knocked out of the Indian Premier’s play-offs stage.

Here is the video:

The video was posted by a Twitter handle @jogtweets. Though there’s no audio, the user lip-read Preity Zinta who seemed to be telling a friend: “I am just very happy that Mumbai is not going to the finals…Really happy.”
