India vs West Indies: Twitterati slam BCCI for dropping Mohammed Shami Instead of Umesh Yadav

Star Indian pace duo Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah have returned to the One Day International team for the last three ODIs against West Indies as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday announced the 15-member squad for the remaining three matches. Mohammed Shami does not find place in the 15-member squad, while Umesh Yadav has retained his spot.

 

Moments after BCCI announced the squad, Twitterati slammed the national selectors for dropping Shami but retaining Umesh Yadav.

 

Both Umesh and Shami were expensive for India in the first two ODIs, as the home team conceded 322 and 321 runs in the first and second ODI, respectively.

In the first ODI, Shami gave away 81 runs and bagged two wickets in his allotted 10 overs and in the next he took one wicket and conceded 59 runs.

On the other hand, Umesh Yadav conceded 64 runs in the 1st ODI and remained wicketless at Guwahati. In the second ODI, Umesh took one wicket and leaked 78 runs at Visakhapatnam.
