The result of the third ODI between India and Afghanistan was determined by the two super overs, making the just-finished India series against Afghanistan, which the home team won 3-0, an intriguing spectacle to behold.

Following the second super cricket, commentators were left wondering about the cricket laws.

India required 17 runs on six balls in the first super over. Before heading to the bench, Rohit scored 14 runs, leading many to believe he was retired. The International Cricket Council (ICC) rules provide that if a player is declared retired out in the first super over he or she cannot bat in the second super over but Rohit Sharma came out to bat.

This incident left every cricket fan curious about whether he should have come to bat or not.

Commenting on this incident is former South African batter AB De Villers through his official YouTube channel 360. He said, ““Double Super Over? Unbelievable (smiles). You can’t bat again if you are declared out in the first Super Over. I think maybe they will claim that he was retired and hurt due to an injury and maybe it was a scoring mistake to show him out.”

In a live video on his YouTube channel, De Villers complimented Rinku Singh for his composure while batting. In just 11 innings, Rinku has amassed 356 runs at an average of 89.00 and two half-centuries.
