India’s wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik turned 33 today and it seems everyone on social media is wishing the stylish player on his birthday. However, among all these wishes, one from his wife Dipika Pallikal stands out.
Dipika took to the photo-sharing application, Instagram, and shared a special story about husband Dinesh Karthik.

Karthik was given the added responsibility to lead the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) squad in the recently concluded 11th season of Indian Premier League (IPL) and he led his team from the front guiding them to the second qualifier of the tournament.
Before IPL, Karthik created a buzz in the Nidahas Trophy finals by guiding India to victory on the last ball of the game.
Dinesh Karthik’s wife Dipika Pallikal is an ace squash player. Dipika recently won the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games 2018, held in Gold Coast, Australia.
Talking about his wife before she departed for Australia to participate in the Commonwealth Games, Karthik had said, “My wife never saw my match. She gets nervous. Her sisters watched it. Cricket is not her favourite sport. She watches squash when it comes on TV. Cricket does not interest her much.”
Former India cricketer, Dinesh Karthik believes Rohit Sharma and the team's senior stars face increasing selection pressure due to India's unmatched bench strength ahead of the 2027 ODI World Cup.
A flat red-soil pitch at the Wankhede Stadium could level the playing field between India and England rather than hand either side an edge in the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup semi-final, said former wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik.
