Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has turned a bizarre viral theory into a viral moment of his own, responding with wit and calm to claims that his bat might have an “AI chip” powering his shots.

The Rajasthan Royals youngster brushed off the chatter with a tongue-in-cheek reply that quickly caught attention online.

“God has given it to me. He himself said something is installed in my bat. I am using that,” Vaibhav said in a video shared by the franchise on X.

The comment came after Pakistani analyst Nauman Niaz jokingly suggested the teenager’s bat should be “tested in a lab”, likening his power-hitting to something out of a sci-fi script.

“Think about it. What is this kid? Get his bat checked. Like WADA conducts dope tests, send him to a lab. He probably used an AI chip in his bat. He is unreal. What a player,” Niaz had said on ‘Smaash Hit,’ clearly stunned by the youngster’s range and control.

While the remark was made in jest, Sooryavanshi’s performances have been anything but ordinary.

The teenager once again lit up the Indian Premier League 2026 with a blistering 43 off just 16 balls against the Punjab Kings, setting the tone in a high-pressure chase.

But it’s not just the fireworks, it’s the consistency. In nine matches, Sooryavanshi has piled up 400 runs at an average of 44.44, striking at a staggering 238.10.

The tally includes a century and two fifties, placing him firmly among the standout performers of the season. He currently holds the Orange Cap, ahead of established names like Abhishek Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul.

AI chip or not, one thing is clear, Sooryavanshi is playing on a different frequency.
