The third women’s one-dayer between India and Australia, scheduled for March 1 at Melbourne’s Junction Oval, has been shifted to Bellerive Oval, Hobart, due to delays in the installation of new floodlights at the venue.
The fixture had been set to mark the venue’s first-ever match under lights, but planning setbacks and ongoing work affecting spectator access left Cricket Australia (CA) with no option but to move the game to Tasmania. The change means Hobart will now host back-to-back ODIs in the series.

With only a one-day gap between the second and third ODIs, rescheduling the Junction Oval clash as a day game was deemed impractical. The MCG, which hosted the day-night Ashes Test last season, is unavailable due to renovation work.
“We are disappointed we have had to move this match from Junction Oval and that there will be no women’s international match in Melbourne this season,” Peter Roach, CA’s head of cricket operations and scheduling, said.
The ODIs are part of a multi-format series against India that begins with three T20Is and concludes with a day-night Test at Perth’s WACA Ground.
