Indian opener and vice-captain for the upcoming Australia series, Rohit Sharma on Friday wished a Happy Engineer’s Day to those who lay a foundation of ever-developing India.
“A nation’s infrastructure makes for its identity. Tribute to all the engineers who created India – Happy #EngineersDay,” Rohit tweeted.

Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore also joined the celebration, giving a tribute to acclaimed Indian engineer M Visvesvaraya.
“On #EngineersDay, a tribute to M Visvesvaraya, a scholarly engineer and a statesman. Grateful for his tremendous contribution to the nation,” Rathore said.
The 2004 Olympic silver medalist shooter also shared a picture of Visvesvaraya, on whose birth anniversary the national Engineer’s day is celebrated.
