Star South African pacer Dale Steyn has made a bold prediction about the number one Test ranking for bowlers. Dale Steyn, who has represented the rainbow nation in 88 Test matches, on Friday heaped praise on Pakistan bowling sensation Mohammad Abbas after his stunning performance in the second Test match between Pakistan and Australia at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.

On Friday, Mohammad Abbas rattled Australian batting line-up by taking five quick wickets and guiding his side to series victory over the Kangaroos.

After seeing Abbas’ stellar show with the ball, Dale Steyn took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, “I see a new number 1 Test bowler coming… Mohammad Abbas.”

Not just Dale Steyn, but former England skipper Michael Vaughan also praised the Pakistani. He said that Abbas is an incredible bowler in all conditions. Vaughan’s post read: “I am only watching & I reckon @Mohmmadabbas111 has had me out 10 times already this morning …. Incredible bowler in all conditions …. #PAKvAUS.”

Earlier, during Australia’s first innings, Abbas picked up 5 for 33 to help Pakistan gain a huge first innings lead.

Meanwhile, Abbas has also become the first ever pacer in the world to scalp 16 wickets in a Test series in the UAE.

So far, Mohammad Abbas has played 10 Test matches for Pakistan and bagged 59 wickets.
