Rohit’s companion Rahul also played a good knock of 77 before falling to Rubel Hossain. India were struggling in the middle overs but a fancy 48 from Rishabh Pant and 35 from former India skipper MS Dhoni ensured India reach a 300 plus target.
For Bangladesh, Mustafizur Rahman was the pick of the bowler as he ended with the figures of 5 for 59 in his quota of 10 overs.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma added another feather to his cap by becoming the 1st Indian and 2nd overall to score 4 centuries in a single edition of the World Cup. Before Rohit, Sourav Ganguly was the only Indian with 3 hundreds. Overall, Kumar Sangakkara of Sri Lanka shares the top spot with Rohit Sharma with 4 centuries.
