Talking about the match, chasing a paltry 240 against New Zealand in the first semifinal of the 2019 World Cup, India lost their top order cheaply. At one stage, India were 92 for 6 and then Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni stitched a 106-run partnership to bring India back in the game but the duo failed to take India home and the Men in Blue were bundled out for 221 — 18 runs short of New Zealand’s.

New Zealand, in final at Lord’s on Sunday (14 July), will face the winner of the second semifinal between Australia and England on Thursday.
