After not having the best of starts to the season, Premier League side Chelsea seem to be making a turnaround rather quickly as they managed to win their first match under Frank Lampard against Norwich City. And if the reports are to be believed, they may well be leading the race to draft in teenage sensation Ben Chrisene.

According to a report carried by The Mirror, Chelsea seem to be ahead of rival team Liverpool in the race to sign Ben Chrisene who is currently a part of Exeter FC. However, his talent and performances have gravitated the attention of many big Premier League sides including Liverpool and Chelsea.

Chelsea are reportedly very much interested in drafting the teenager in their team, although they will have to wait until their transfer ban is lifted. The deal could well work out by the month of January.

Notably, Chelsea’s interest in Chrisene is in sync with their team manager Frank Lampard’s mantra of giving younger players an opportunity at the big stage and it seems to be working for them too with the academy graduates Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham scoring the goals for them in their win over Norwich City.
