The coveted Ranji Trophy will start from 9 December and will go on till 13 March 2020. The new format of the trophy, which was introduced last year, remains the same.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the domestic schedule for the 2019-20 season. The season commences with Duleep Trophy beginning next month.

It will then be followed by the Vijay Hazare trophy which is scheduled to begin from 24 September. The Deodhar Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament will then fall in next as per the domestic schedule.

The coveted Ranji Trophy will start from 9 December and will go on till 13 March 2020. The new format of the trophy, which was introduced last year, remains the same. As per this format, the top team that qualifies for the quarter-finals from Plate Group will be promoted to Elite Group C in the following season.

Similarly, the top two teams that qualify for the quarter-finals from Elite Group C will be promoted to Elite Group A and Elite Group B in the coming season.

On the other hand, the senior women’s domestic season will begin with the T20 League that is scheduled to begin from October.

As many as 2036 domestic matches are scheduled to be played in the 2019-20 season in both men’s and women’s categories.
