It seems like the drama revolving around the transfer of star player Neymar is finally settling down as Barcelona is leading the race to draft in Neymar back into their side.

The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star was linked with a possible move to Barcelona ever since PSG club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi had stated that he would not tolerate celebrity behavior at the club. Although Barcelona were always leading the race to bag him back, Real Madrid had also shown their interest in roping him in their squad.

However, it now seems that Neymar is set for a return to his former team Barcelona. In fact, Spanish sports journalist Guillem Balague has gone on to reveal how Barcelona are planning to pay for the transfer of the Brazil International.

It is being extensively reported that the forward will come back to Barcelona on a loan deal for a year. The contract will also have an option to let Barcelona buy him after a year. After the emergence of these reports, Balague has stated that PSG are in need of some cash before the European transfer deadline to fund a few transfers.

“There have been positive talks and the one thing that has become very clear that PSG want a lot of money upfront,” Guillem Balague said on Twitter.

“But they will be willing to wait for the rest of the payment later on. So we are talking perhaps about a loan. I’ve been told different figures, could be €30m (£27m), €40m (£36m), could be more, for one year and then pay €120m (£108m) next season.

“Then at some point players have been mentioned, but the impression I have got is that cash is what PSG want and maybe use that cash straight away to sort something out and get somebody before the 2nd of September,” he added.
